Moo Moo's Signatures: New release!

Disclaimer: These polishes were sent to me by the brand in exchange for swatches and a review.

Hi everyone! Today I have a wee handful of polishes from Moo Moo's Signatures for you to peruse! I have a mix of upcoming releases and a pair that's currently available. Let's just get right to it!

Primeval

Primeval is a recent addition to Moo Moo's Shimmer Paradise series. They describe it as a "dusty plum with gold holo dust, green to rose shimmer, and holo shimmer". I'd call it a mauve base with linear holo and color-shifting green to pink shimmer. Note that I think the base color came out more intensely in the pictures than it showed up in person. This is three coats and top, but I think you can get away with two.

Flower of Paradise (彼岸花)

Flower of Paradise is a bright, pink-based red filled with glorious purple and gold flakies and shimmer in the Core Collection. Moo Moo describes it as "a red jelly with red to orange shimmer, purple flakies, gold flakies and holo dust". It's a very complex, smooth red. The first thing I thought when I saw it was that it's a perfect Lunar New Year color! Of course, the Lunar New Year was four days ago, but the festivities go on for another week and a half in my parents' home country of Taiwan.

The polish was actually inspired by the red spider lily, and I think it does an amazing job of capturing that in a bottle. I needed three coats and top.

Orchid Twilight

Now we're onto the new releases! Orchid Twilight will be available on the 26th of February, as a new addition to the Core Collection. Moo Moo describes it as "medium orchid base with shimmer which shifts from forest green to purple to red." I'd call it a deeper fuchsia filled with multichrome green/teal/blue/purple/pink shimmer. To my eye, teal is the main shimmer color, although it was really hard to coax it out of my camera, which wanted to pull it more blue. Three coats and top.

Oh, also, there are a few colors that I think it might be similar to (but not the same!), so be on the lookout for a comparison on my Instagram soon!

Ephemeral Beauty

This duo is a collaboration between Moo Moo's Signature and Sakura Nail Art! Also releasing Feb 26th.

A Second of Eternal Beauty

A Second of Eternal Beauty is a sweet pale mint with a light smattering of holo, subtle green to pink shimmer, and microflakies. Moo Moo describes it as "pastel mint with subtle holo, green to fuchsia shimmer, and tiny color-shifting flakies." The shimmer is really interesting in that you can't really see it head on; it does a really good job of matching its base. However, at an angle, the pink really pops! I thought the formula was a bit on the sheer side, but it applied surprisingly smoothly. I usually expect pastels to be harder to work with, but this went on easily. I needed three coats and top.

I Will Be Your Hanami at Midnight

I Will Be Your Hanami at Midnight is here for you linear holo lovers! It's a shimmery midnight blue linear holo that leans purple and is filled with these surprising sparkly little microflakies that shift from pink to gold. Moo Moo describes it as a "midnight blue violet holo with tiny blue shimmer and pink to purple to gold tiny flakies". The flakies are super easy to see in person, but they're a little camera shy when they're pink! I found it to be quite opaque; this is just two coats.

That's all for today! Again, Primeval and Flower of Paradise are both currently available, and the other three will be releasing on Sunday, February 26th at 10pm SGT (6am PST). You can find all of these polishes (as well as many others!) directly from Moo Moo's Signatures at the Mei Mei's Signatures website. Moo Moo's Signatures also has many international stockists, and you can find a list of them right here.

As always, let me know what you think in the comments! Are you planning on picking up anything from this release? I definitely have my eye on a few more of the Shimmer Paradise shades—Moo Moo just does shimmers so well! Thanks for reading!
